Tonight is the Season premier of Grey's Anatomy.
Who wouldn't be excited about that.
I hear that McDreamy and Mer break up but that it turns out okay.
I couldn't help myself I had to get a little sneak peak.
We just got back from dinner and the supermarket.
I love fish from Burgerville.
Hopefully someday I will be eating all natural and good for my body.
That is one of my goals.
It used to be my goal that when I get a job after graduation I would be able to buy myself lots of clothes and shoes.
Now my goals have taken a 180 degree turn.
There comes a time in your life when you realize that what you are putting in your body is all wrong.
You can't eat like a kid forever.
Although some people still do.
I believe that America is going through a nutrition crisis.
People don't know that they need fiber, protein, complex carbs, vitamins, and all the other vital nutrients that we lack in our overprocessed foods.
We have very high rates of disease that I don't think we should have.
We have created our own worst enemies by polluting our earth and releasing things that effect us in a terrible way.
Thats enough
Peace

What not to wear!
The episode of today's, "What Not To Wear" was very interesting.
I think that it is very funny when there are people who try to kill the pretty in themselves.
This women had such extreme potential to be amazing.
For one thing, she was very eloquent and smart.
She knew the English language.
She was a maker of her own clothing.
I was thinking that maybe once she took home her new clothes maybe she would have a more of an awareness and her home sewn clothing would also be more updated.
If you can sew something that looks like it fell out of the 80's you can sew something that is updated too.
Anyways I can't wait to see what she looks like when they are all done with her.
She is tall, nice skin, beautiful teeth, and its going to be fabulous.
In other news, I have proceeded to clear out some of my closet.
Clothing that I haven't worn in over a year is getting the boot.
I took a break to have lunch.
Now that my lunch is digested, I am proceeding to workout a little bit.
Just a little bit.
I need to prepare for my first workout session on Tuesday morning.
Today is post-op day 13.
So officially my two weeks is up tomorrow.
Last night I slept without the humidifier and I didn't wake up once until everyone woke me up this morning.
I am so excited about the mom and Stephanie day tomorrow.
I have the best mom in the world.
Peace

It Looks Like Rain!
And I am loving it.
Tomorrow they are forecasting a thunder storm.
Today is my last day all alone in the house.
Sadie does keep me good company with her weezy snoring.
We think that she has a cold because she has been making the oddest sounds.
These aren't the normal crazy dog sounds.
Ryan told me yesterday that we might want to look into renting a small house.
If it would be about the same price as a tiny apartment then I see no reason why that isn't a viable option.
Very exciting to think about though.
The things that I definitely must do today are:
-clean my room
-finish my laundry
-organize my school things
-make a list of all the things that I can't forget to get me through my school days.
Peace

Why should I write?
A while ago I read a little bit of a diary that my mother kept when she was in grade school.
It was so crazy to be reading broken sentences and mispelled words.
Who could have thought that my mom was that young and naive.
But she was also cute, caring, sensitive, and neurotic like me.
She worried about things that didn't need to be worried about.
Just like me.
So many things we have in common.
It was so great to take a little look into her past and realize that once she was just like me.
There was a time when she was exactly my age and she was dealing with the same issues.
So far as I know, there aren't any other diary entries past those few that I read.
I can see some of her work from high school but it really isn't the same.
I would love to be able to hear her voice from high school
-advil break-
Okay now I am back.
My conclusion is that I am writing this for my theoretical children/child.
Hopefully one day they will be in the exact position that I am right now.
Young.
Scared.
Exhillerated.
happy.
wondering.
exploring.
sad.
tired.
always pushing for more.
Maybe they will be in college, or maybe they won't.
Starting a family might be their priority.
I could be a grandparent by that time.
Who knows?
I've decided that there is no predetermined path for our lives.
Yet God does have a plan for us.
I think it is based on the everyday.
It is ever changing.
I think that God chooses to do this by giving us certain tests and tasks that we are involved in.
By choosing certain circumstances, He is saying, through your love for me do your best.
By doing your best, you are choosing your path.
By doing your worst, you are choosing your path.
My choice to believe that I can do my best this term and that I will succeed in that, will lead me on a good path.
The friends that I chose and the man that I plan to marry are my good paths.
Dale chose a bad path.
He chose the path of least resistance.
He chose to be complacent and to not work for his dreams.
He knew where these things would lead him.
Turning your back on God and your family is never the right choice.
Well tonight was a good night.
Harvest moons are always very pretty.
Law and Order: SVU is on, I can't keep typing.
Peace

Afternoon Toast
I made myself a little snack of toast while preparing my mac & cheese.
Well lets just say that a transformation has taken place in me.
It used to be that I couldn't stand any sort of bread that wasn't 100% white.
When I discovered the benefits of fiber I decided that I should stop with the refined flour and try some whole wheat bread.
I have come to love the taste of a grainy bread.
I wasn't aware of the lack of taste that smoother breads have.
How crazy for someone like me to actually enjoy the nuttier, fiber breads rather than the carby crap breads.
But it has happened.
So I plan to make my first trip back to the gym on the Tuesday following my first day of school.
I think that should give me sufficient time from my recovery.
I really want to work my muscles back up to where they were.
So exciting.
Oh and I get to use my new messenger bag.
Its black and blue and I think that I want to find some way to add a special stephanie touch to it.
Not sure what that will be yet.
Ryan's mom came over today and she gave me the most fun gifts.
I am always pleasantly surprised because she always gets me many little things.
Its like a grab bag of fun and feminine things.
They were for our new place when we get married and move out. Yay
Mac&Cheese is waiting,
Peace

The Turnaround Day
So this morning I woke up with a renewed sense of self.
Who am I to feel so happy when it is outcast outside and the forecast is calling for five days of consecutive rain.
What normal person enjoys the rain?
That would be little old me.
Besides the fact that it increases the humidity in the air for my throat I have always loved the first rains that come with fall.
Its a signal.
The leaves will be turning.
For the first time the other day at the supermarket I discovered that all the Halloween and autumn merch was out.
I love this!
I also love my new messenger laptop bag that Ryan so lovingly got me for my birthday.
I have gotten in the habit of taking a tiny bit of pepto in the morning.
It soothes my tummy.
I made those six cupcakes yesterday and I have only eaten a quarter of one.
I was thinking that since I didn't have carbs for a week my body has been weaned off the carbs.
I don't really want them anymore.
I'm more interested in salty...but healthy
Today I took my multi-vitamin, allergy meds, fiber and some pain stuff.
I need to keep up on myself from now on.
There isn't any reason why I should feel crappy.
My tonsils are gone.
No more sore throats right during my favorite time of year.
I am going to dye my hair because if I let it go any further I will have to go as a witch for Halloween.
I got the Grey's from my daddy.
Not putting the weight back on yet.
I'm not sure if I will stay at this weight or if I will go back to what I was at.
I find that my habits make it hard for me to gain weight.
Its one of the most constant stable things in my life.
I plan on going to the gym and working on some of my muscles which is actually exciting for me.
Anyways..I will go change myself back into the younger version with some rich brown hair.
wish me luck
Peace

Taco's and Dancing
What a wonderful birthday dinner at Taco House.
I was able to eat the chips and dip them in the salsa.
Tomorrow I will definitely eat my leftovers.
I think that I am coming around the bend.
I didn't want Ryan to leave tonight, I just wanted to snuggle up next to him.
I'll turn on the heated blanket instead.
Well Dancing With The Stars is coming to its conclusion.
Textbook hunting will resume tomorrow.
Peace

So I just finished up making my birthday cupcakes.
They are spice cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
I ate some of the batter, well a lot of the batter and it made me a little nauseated.
I only made six cupcakes because our house doesn't need 24.
That's great for a class of second graders, but for a family they just dissapear to fast and reappear later....on your hips.
I am trying to breath through the nausea right now.
I was so focused on food last week when all I could eat was ...nothing.
Now I am going to stop thinking about food.
enough for now..

Happy 22nd Birthday To Me
So today is my 22nd birthday.
Technically we are going to be celebrating it this Sunday because of my tonsillectomy.
This is now day 12 post-op.
I will definitely say that I am doing much better than I was doing.
I have found that many people find it comforting to write about every hour of their recovery, including pictures.
I was going to try and write about how things went down, what it was like, perhaps it would help me or others to understand what it is like.
There is only one problem with that scenario, I don't remember much detail from the recovery.
That's not to say that its over, but the most gruesome details are behind me.
I haven't been able to write anything about the worst days of my recovery.
Maybe someday I will.
But hey I just sneezed for the first time in over a week.
Sneezing and coughing are things that you take for granted when you have scabs in the back of your throat.
The only symptoms that I have right now are as follows:
-slight, uncomfortable pain in the left side of my throat
-a tiny bit of ear pain.
I think that without my huge, nasty tonsils my throat doesn't know what to do with itself.
I need to research the aftereffects of the medications that I was taking because I have had some severe bouts of dry mouth.
I remain committed to my recovery and this is what that means:
1. I will try my darndest to remain positive about every aspect of my life. I graduate from college in three terms and I need to savor these last precious moments of college.
2. Last term I worked my tail off to get two A's and a B. This term I know is going to be more intense because I am taking two extra classes. I will take comfort in the support of my friends and family.
This is my schedule for next term and I think that I should make a plan so that I can survive it. My first idea was that I am going to start packing my lunches and/or eat at whole foods. I sure wish that I had a more comfortable car to sit in because mine is just so not conducive to rest. Anyways here is my schedule:
Monday:
12:45pm-4:30pm-------AD Concept III
6:00pm-9:45pm--------Technical Design
Tuesday:FREE
Wednesday:
6:00pm-8:45pm--------Dress and Society I
Thursday: FREE
Friday:
9:00am-11:45pm-------Marketing
12:45pm-4:30pm--------Computer Patt. II
I suppose that when you have two days off out of the week..that isn't so bad. I just made myself some no sugar added hot cocoa in the cute mug that renee and joey got me for christmas so I think that I will end this with a list of some of the things that I want to do this winter.
1.Maybe create a small winter or christmas wall hanging quilt.
2. Do some watercoloring
3.watch christmas movies ( the santa claus, home alone, white christmas...etc.)
Peace
